What is the age limit for this league?

- The minimum age to join is 18. There is no maximum age. If you feel able to compete, you can. Divisions will be made in the league based on age. You will determine which division you play in provided you are eligible for that division. You can go down a division, but you cannot go up.

For example, if you are 36 years old, you can play in an 18+ division or a 35+ division, but not a 40+ division.

Are there tryouts for this league?

- No. As long as you are able to compete, you can play.

What are the rules of the league?

- The rules are set by the MSBL. In short, they follow MLB rules with a few minor differences:

All players will bat, even if they are not currently playing defense.
Players can substitute out to different defensive positions at any time, but must remain in the same batting order through the entire game.
Courtesy runners are allowed and must be the last player to be called out during play.
If a pitcher hits 4 batters in a game, they must be removed from pitching.
Once a pitcher is removed or subbed out, they cannot pitch again during the game, but can play any other position.
Games will be 9 innings or 2 1/2 hours (whichever comes first).
If an inning starts before the time limit, it must be finished, regardless of time.

What is the cost to play?

- The cost for individual players has not been determined yet. This will be determined by several factors such as how many teams/players sign up to play, how many fields are needed to accommodate the teams, and sponsorships.

What equipment do I need to play?

- You will only need a baseball glove. It is recommended that you also have a bat, cleats, and batting gloves, but they are not required. The league will provide bats and helmets for team use.

Can I use a metal bat?

- No. To keep exit velocity at a safe level, only wooden bats will be allowed in the league. Bamboo bats, while technically are not wood, are also allowed.

Can I play on a team with my friends?

- Yes. Just put down that information on the sign up form. Full teams are welcome to join as well.

When will the games be played?

- Games will be played on Sunday starting in the spring of 2027. If we have more teams sign up than we have time for on Sundays, we may expand games to another day as well.

How many games will be played?

- The season will consist of 20 games plus playoffs.
